Battle of the Biggest...

These two particular aircraft both do not exist, but may eventually. Airbus industrie recently began an investigation
into building a very large aircraft. A double decker design has been proposed, to use existing facilities. The A3XX,
or so it is called for now, may be carrying thousands of paying passengers shortly after the turn of the century.
Have a look at a "spinable" A3XX (in .mov format)
A3XX "Movie".
Also, check out the
Airbus Industrie Web site for more details.

Not to be left out of the large sized aircraft way, Boeing has decided to expand the 747 even further. The series 500 and
600's will feature new wings, more efficent and quiet engines (more powerful as well). In addition, they will stretch the
length and increase the weight of the current 747 series. Another interesting proposal, but it was canceled by Boeing
last year. Rumors exist that it may be reconsidered in the near future, but for now the 777 looks like the candidate for
further advancement. Some information may still exist on the
Boeing Web site.

For now, I invite you to test-pilot these mammoth air transports, slow and easy is the key to smooth landings! Both are
intended for FS98, but I also have a FS95 version of the Boeing 747-600 in my
Boeing section.
